Nicalis has announced that they will release Redout on Nintendo Switch, a futuristic anti-grav racer that pays homage to games such as F-Zero, WipeOut, and Rollcage.

Redout is set in the year 2560 when Earth’s barren wasteland has been transformed with the introduction of elaborate magnetic race tracks has allowed it to play home to the galaxy’s most popular sport. Dynamic vehicle designs, evocative course environments and the thrill of speed promise a sensory overload, all built developer 34BigThings in
Unreal Engine 4.

The game’s driving scheme will use the right Joy-Con analog stick to pitch the vehicle forward on downhill slopes and backward on inclines, in order to decrease friction and increase speed. It will also be used to drift around curves, looking to lend players an unprecedented degree of precision control.

Redout will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Spring 2017.
