Visual novel Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi is the latest Nintendo 3DS release to be announced, courtesy of Aksys Games.
Confirmed for a North American launch it forms part of the critically acclaimed Hakuoki series, taking place when the shogunate and imperial forces clash for supremacy across Japan.
Chizuru journeys to Kyoto in search of her missing father, yet ends up running into the a band of samurai warriors sworn to protect the shogun, the Shinsegumi. Yet they too are looking for her father, and so they join forces in their hunt.
There are six new stories to enjoy, each being displayed within stereoscopic 3D and seeing the player unlocking photos and movies as they progress.
Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi is confirmed to release for Nintendo 3DS across North America.
