Agatsuma Entertainment has made an unexpected announcement in sharing that the company has been dissolved today.

After suffering financial difficulties, the Japanese publisher has had to close with immediate effect and will be completely liquidated by 31st March 2016.

Founded in 1997, the company localised 5th Cell’s Drawn to Life: God’s Marionette before working on their own projects beginning with Anpanman Niko Niko Party. More recently they released Code of Princess and Sayonara UmiharaKawase on Nintendo 3DS, which evidently weren’t as successful as they had hoped.

Their last hurrah was bringing Sayonara Umihara Kawase, Umihara Kawase Shun Steam Edition and Umihara Kawase to PC, each having seen release since October.
