After The Pokémon Company had teased that it was “coming soon,” Nintendo has announced that a Pokkén Tournament DX demo will see release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch this week.

What content it will contain is unknown at this point, but we expect that it will at least let us brawl as the new characters that weren’t available in the Wii U version.

Decidueye flys in from the Alola region as a brand-new fighter, with Litten and Popplio to join in battle as new Support Pokémon. With all characters and Support Pokémon available right from the start, players can participate in a new Team Battle mode where they pick three Pokémon and battle it out to be the first to defeat all of their opponent’s Pokémon to win.

Online, Group Match mode will let you find similarly skilled players, Daily Challenges will continually test your fighting prowess, and a new replay feature will let you watch and share your best matches with other players.

Pokkén Tournament DX will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 22nd.
