The Pokémon Company has released Pikachu Talk on Amazon Echo and Google Home, letting owners use their smart speaker to interact with everyone’s favourite electric mouse.

After releasing in Japan late last year, everyone else around the world now has a chance to have a conversation with Pikachu. You can talk with the electrified mouse about anything, but there are specific commands that you can use. To get started, all you need to do is say “Alexa [or Google], ask Pikachu to talk.”

Ask Pikachu to “use Thunderbolt” and you can then hear whether it is in the mood to summon a strong electric blast, or you can even say “tell me a funny story” to, well… see it tell you a funny story. And then there’s the chance to ask it to “sing ‘Happy Birthday to You,'” or even say sillier commands such as “say ‘pizza’ ten times.”
