Hi-Rez Studios has announced that Paladins is now free-to-play on Nintendo Switch, after the fantasy team-based hero shooter was only available to those that bought the Paladins: Founder’s Pack on the portable home console.

Your chance to join more than 25 million players that wield guns and magic as a legendary Champion of the Realm, ranging from sharpshooting humans to mech-riding goblins, mystical elves, and jetpack-clad dragons.

It runs at 60 frames per second and has cross-platform multiplayer with Xbox One, and we were impressed in our Paladins review, concluding:

“It’s a game that will stay on my Switch and I’ll dip into for an hour or so every day, working out the kinks and nuances, enjoying exploring champions and events for as long as Hi-Rez Studios keeps it on their minds.”

Paladins is now available for free on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
