Nintendo have confirmed that Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games will release across Europe on November 8th, plying Wii U owners with the chance to tackle classic winter sport disciplines.

Each combine to grant you 16 different Olympic Events and 8 Dream Events, spread across individual and team events, as well as new game modes such as Legends Showdown and the Action & Answer Tour.

You enjoy the delights of Speed Skating, Alpine Skiing, Figure Skating Pairs and the menacingly-sounding Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom with friends and family, with Snowboard Slopestyle being introduced for the first time in the Mario & Sonic series.

Meanwhile, Dream Events allow for dynamic moves that wouldn’t be possible in real life, with Winter Sports Champion Race seeing you switch between skis onto a snowboard, from the inside of a bobsleigh and then to a pair of skates. Whilst Snowball Scrimmage promises to see you participate in the ultimate snowball fight.

Legends Showdown sees you putting 20 characters to use, strategising which to use per round, the Action & Answer Tour seeing you enjoy minigames in the style of a TV quiz program, with Worldwide VS allowing you to take the action online.
