Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog have announced that Trek to Yomi will release on Nintendo Switch next week.
Pitched as “a love letter to classic Japanese cinema,” the developer has looked to combine “sumptuous” monochromatic visuals with classic 2D combat and gentle puzzle-solving in an effort to deliver an atmospheric adventure.
Seeking to honour the vow that he made to his dying Master, the young swordsman Hiroki must protect his town and the people he loves against those that threaten them.
In an enchanting tale of romance, duty and death, this captivating cinematic journey will see the lone samurai voyage beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:

Trek To Yomi will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30th January 2023.
