We already know what the 30th anniversary series amiibo unlock in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but, with a week until launch, we can discover what the new Breath of the Wild series amiibo do.
There aren’t any particular surprises, with each amiibo rewarding players with randomised ingredients, weapons, shields, horse-related items and parts, which are sure to be useful on Link’s open-air adventure.
Nintendo also adds that “many other amiibo” can be used to receive a random amount of meat or fish in-game.
Link (Archer) amiibo
When scanned, the Link (Archer) amiibo will reward you with a random amount of fish and meat, and you may also receive a useful bow or arrow.
Link (Rider) amiibo
When scanned, the Link (Rider) amiibo will reward you with a random amount of mushrooms, a weapon or an item for your horse.
Zelda amiibo
When scanned, the Zelda amiibo will reward you with a random selection of plants or a shield.
Guardian amiibo
When scanned, the Guardian amiibo will reward you with metal boxes containing useful items or ancient parts.
Bokoblin amiibo
When scanned, the Bokoblin amiibo will reward you with a variety of meat or a Bokoblin weapon.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3rd.
