The Game Bakers has released a software update for Furi on Nintendo Switch, the challenging but ultra-responsive, fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting game. This update, version 1.5.137, has introduced an Invincible mode, as well as a new control scheme and other bug fixes.

“We’re happy to be launching today a free update to Furi: the Freedom Update. The update includes the Invincible mode, a new control scheme, and minor fixes,” The Game Bakers explain.

“Furi’s been called difficult, but it’s also a game that has been praised for its visual universe, its meaningful story, or its high energy soundtrack. So we designed the Invincible mode to let everyone enjoy its audiovisual and narrative experience.

“It lets players become invincible, skip a fight, skip or lock a certain phase in a fight, or weaken a boss. It is also a great addition for speedrunners looking to improve their record, as they can choose to practice a specific fight or phase.

“We’ve also added a new control scheme D that helps dodging or parrying while shooting/slashing, and was designed based on discussions with the game community. Hope you enjoy those additions to Furi!”

Furi is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
