As producer Hitoshi Yamagami suggests, you could probably see this coming. But, after exploring Hoshido and Nohr kingdoms, Nintendo’s “A Tale of Two Families” developer series for Fire Emblem Fates closes with Revelation.

He is once again joined by directors Genki Yokota and Kouhei Maeda, producer Masahiro Higuchi, and character designer and illustrator Yusuke Kozaki, who discuss the third path, in which the player chooses that kin from both Hoshido and Nohr are important to you. Not wanting to fight either of them, you set out to save them both.

From a gameplay perspective, Revelation has “more tricks and traps to the battle maps,” which they hope continues to differentiate itself from that seen in Birthright and Conquest. That, and without spoiling anything, it “really unlocks a lot of the key secrets” behind each game, therefore being recommended to those that have completed the alternate campaigns.

Fire Emblem Fates is now available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS in Japan and North America, and sees release in Europe on May 20th.

      1. The wording of the title “series closes with revelation”. It makes it sound like they are ending the Fire Emblem series.
