After awarding top marks to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Famitsu has turned their attention to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in their latest issue.
The Japanese magazine’s Cross Review, a panel that is comprised of four reviewers that each provides their own individual score, put the Nintendo Switch exclusive to the test, awarding the kart racer with 35 out of a maximum possible score of 40.
That is one point lower than Wii U exclusive Mario Kart 8, which scored 36 out of 40 way back in May 2014.
Famitsu also reviewed Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap on Nintendo Switch (28 out of 40), and Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X on Nintendo 3DS (31 out of 40).
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on April 28th.
