Excited at having the chance to work with Nintendo, the Bethesda E3 2017 Showcase saw the publisher let us take another look at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch.

The epic fantasy masterpiece will add some surprises on the portable home console, such as all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, as well as outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – specifically the Master Sword, Hylian Shield and Champion’s Tunic.

The new trailer suggests that these will become available if you scan a compatible amiibo, with those in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series, The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary series, and Super Smash Bros. series all being compatible.

Bethesda also confirmed that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch will include all official add-ons: namely being Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will release on Nintendo Switch worldwide later this year.
