Metroid Prime 4 is now in development for Nintendo Switch, a showstopper announcement in the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation.

It has been a decade since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on Wii, and, since then, everyone has been left longing for the sci-fi action-adventure series to return.

Nintendo 3DS exclusive Metroid Prime: Federation Force only worsened that demand, which saw fans express their frustration at Nintendo for not returning to the mainline series.

Now, those concerns have been silenced, with Nintendo having even announced Metroid: Samus Returns as Nintendo 3DS exclusive.
