Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 will see release on Nintendo Switch.

The previous game cast the player as a Legendary Builder chosen by the Goddess to wander a sandbox world to gather materials, craft items, build anything imaginable, and use the power of creation in the battle against the treacherous Dragonlord to restore peace to the shattered realm.

RPG Site reports that the sequel will add underwater exploration, that players can glide around using a cloth, can dash, and, more importantly, enjoy cooperative online multiplayer with up to four players.

Back when the portable home console was known as Nintendo NX, Square Enix had stated that they were considering releasing Dragon Quest Builders on the platform, and are “committed to bringing more Dragon Quest titles in the West.”
