Wild Rooster has revealed that Astro Duel Deluxe is in development for Nintendo Switch, a competitive local multiplayer party game where rounds promise to be quick and death is sudden.

With support for up to six players, the chaotic mayhem challenges everyone to blast each other to pieces or run over any shipless pilots.

There are several modes to explore: Team Annihilation, where you must wipe out your friends’ squad; Chaos, which can either be played Free-For-All or in two teams; Touch, in which ships can only turn in one direction; Pilot Hunters, where you must run over pilots; Ship Hunters, to battle for the most kills; and Team Deathmatch, where you will join forces with one another.

There are six pilots to control, and, if you don’t have enough friends to play with at any point you can take on CPU opponents. Ships can be armed with offensive and defensive power-ups such as missiles, lasers, jousters and shields,
with dynamic arenas presenting hiding places and hazards like turrets, death beams and black holes.

Astro Duel Deluxe will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in 2017.
