As part of his daily updates to share the development progress of the game, Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed that Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s Isabelle will appear as an Assist Trophy.
“Hello fighters! I’ll assist you with fresh-picked fruit from my town!” Sakurai shared in a message, alongside spreading news of the Super Smash Bros. Direct next week.
His comments presumably suggest that Isabelle’s mid-battle arrival will see her distribute recovery items, helping to reduce damage percentages taken by competing players. That’s speculation though, so we’ll have to wait and see it in action.
