Animal Crossing: New Horizons Glitch Lets You Duplicate Items

Everyone has started to escape to their own virtual island paradise, but it hasn’t taken long for a glitch to be discovered in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that lets you duplicate (or clone) items.

GameXplain has shown how this is possible in a video below, but, in short, it requires two players working together in local co-operative multiplayer.

After placing an item on top of another, one player simply has to rotate them. Then, the other player simply grabs the item as it is being rotated. This will let you pocket it without it being removed from the item that it was placed on, allowing you to duplicate the item.

It doesn’t appear to work with every item, but, in their video, GameXplain is able to clone multiple in-game Nintendo Switch consoles that they go on to sell for a whopping 119,920 Bells.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players set out on an ultra-exclusive Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package.

This promises you the chance to enjoy a peaceful existence full of creativity, charm and the freedom to roll up your sleeves and make your new life whatever you want it to be.

That will see you collect resources so that you can craft everything from creature comforts to handy tools, working to set up a homestead that can be freely decorated – both inside and out.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
