Did You Know Gaming? has covered Super Smash Bros. in their latest video, presenting a chance to learn interesting tidbits about the Nintendo 64 brawler.

Those that tune in will learn about concerns that LucasArts would threaten legal action over the beam sword sounds, that the game was referred to as Pepsi Man early in production, as well as how Masahiro Sakurai and Satoru Iwata had worked closely on the initial prototype.

There’s more on cut content, reused assets and Sakurai’s longheld desire to add Marth from the Fire Emblem series to the game. The Final Smash moves were also intended to have been present from the first game but weren’t added until Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii, while the credits sequence was inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.
