Respawn Entertainment senior designer Mohammad Alavi came under fire after he laughed when asked if Titanfall 2 would come to Nintendo Switch, but he made far more scathing remarks in the Drunk Tech Review video.

While sharing early praise for how Nintendo Switch can quickly move between TV and Handheld modes, when another guest mentioned that it means that players can now play triple-A games on the go, Alavi interjected: “Triple-A? Nintendo hasn’t made a triple-A game in, like, seven years [laughs].”

When The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was shown he conceded when asked whether it was a triple-A game or not, replying: “Skyrim is totally a triple-A game. Absolutely a triple-A game [laughs].”

He went on to share some concern that sharing the two Joy-Con would result in players playing a simplified experience, in comparison to both players using their own controller.

Alavi later added: “I was excited about it because Nintendo’s been in such a niche market recently like, you know, catering to the handheld and, I’m going to be honest with you, the kids. They’ve been so underpowered that they don’t have the support of the third-parties because they’re all making for PC, Xbox One and PS4, and it’s no different!”

Then, he was asked whether Titanfall would release on Nintendo Switch, to which he replied: “No, you’re not going to be able to fit Titanfall on it. That’s the same Zelda from the Wii U [laughs].”

It’s a particularly thoughtless display in entirety, and comments that risk burning bridges rather than building them.
