Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Run will see release on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch worldwide on Thursday 15th December.
Super Mario Run is the first Super Mario Bros. game developed specifically for mobile devices, and has been created under Shigeru Miyamoto’s direction. In the game, Mario runs forward on his own, but relies on the tap of a single finger to jump over obstacles, avoid enemies, pull off stylish moves, collect coins and reach the flagpole to complete courses.
It can be downloaded from the App Store at no cost with players free to try the game’s three modes, but, once downloaded, a one-time payment of £7.99 ($9.99) will allow unlimited access to each mode.
Super Mario Run will be compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices that are running iOS 8.0 or later, and will release in 151 countries and regions. The game will support English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese language options.
What about the Android version? Will it also be available in December?
Android version will release in early 2017, although Nintendo hasn’t announced a specific date yet!
