Nintendo NX has now become Nintendo Switch, a device that will bring together the mobility of a handheld with the power of a home gaming system for the first time.

But, while we have had a chance to swoon over the concept, we won’t learn any more about the console’s technical specification or games until next year. That’s according to The Wall Street Journal technology reporter Takashi Mochizuki, who had asked Nintendo when we can expect to hear more about Nintendo Switch.

It’s understandable that Nintendo will want to concentrate on promoting the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES Classic Edition) as well as Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

Nintendo presumably won’t want their Nintendo Switch game announcements to be overshadowed by the usually busy Christmas season, which will welcome Titanfall 2, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Dishonored 2, Watch_Dogs 2, Final Fantasy XV, Dead Rising 4, and The Last Guardian, among others.

Nintendo Switch will release worldwide in March 2017.
