Square Enix was a name seen in the list of third-party development partners supporting Nintendo Switch, but at this point, it’s unclear which games they will be bringing to it aside from Dragon Quest 10: Awakening of the Five Tribes Online and Dragon Quest 11: In Search of Departed Time.

While a rumour has persisted that the publisher’s highly anticipated, action role-playing epic may be destined for Nintendo’s new home gaming system, if that’s the case, Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata is playing his cards incredibly close to his chest.

Enthusing that the announcement has renewed his desire to develop for a Nintendo platform, he smartly sidestepped around revealing whether there were any plans currently underway.

“I’m very interested in this machine! As a player, but also as a developer,” Tabata told GameBlog. “The Nintendo Switch that you can transform into a controller, that you can put into a dock, that you can move around with, on which you can replace elements.

“It’s been a while that I’ve told myself that I would like to make games on a Nintendo machine, so if the Nintendo Switch could be that opportunity, I’ll be delighted!”

Final Fantasy 15 will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide on November 29th.
