Pokémon Uranium Welcomes Trainers To The Tandor Region

Not longer after Nintendo took down Another Metroid 2 Remake: Project AM2R, Pokémon Uranium has surfaced online as another fan-made creation seemingly destined for the same fate.

This non-profit project has been in development for more than 9 years, and introduces Trainers to the Tandor region where 150 all-new Pokémon live – some even being the new, Nuclear-type. Trainers will journey to collect eight Gym Badges before taking on the Tandor League, and “must battle against a sinister threat that’s causing Nuclear Meltdowns” on their travels.

With the chance to now converse with your pocket monsters, the project’s ambition has also resulted in the game supporting online trading and battling. The small team is continuing to release patches to address bugs after release, so there will be support while the project remains available.

Currently only available on PC, a Mac version remains in development to release at a later date. While the project’s website has been overwhelmed with traffic, the team have been active on Twitter to point you in the right direction for those interested in downloading the game.
