Metroid Prime: Federation Force Fails To Grapple Japan

It has always been a property that enjoyed more popularity with western audiences, but Nintendo will surely be disappointed to see that Metroid Prime: Federation Force failed to even secure a spot in last week’s software chart in Japan.

With Splatoon securing the last spot in the top 20 with 4,441 copies sold, that means that the Nintendo 3DS exclusive sold less than such number. That is a concern not only for the fact that it was launch week, but that there are more than 21 million Nintendo 3DS owners in the country.

LEVEL-5’s Yo-kai Watch 3 remained in top place, with new arrivals largely coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita – No Man’s Sky placing third in the chart after shifting 22,200 copies.

The Nintendo 3DS family of systems collectively sold 24,459 units that week, with the Wii U selling 4,519 units.
