Nintendo has called on Monolith Soft to help create the vast open world that you explore in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

We had already heard from Nintendo SPD director Genki Yokota that the studio had shared their experiences with developing Xenoblade Chronicles X, but Monolith Soft’s Tetsuya Takahashi explained that they weren’t yet involved with the project.

Now, when asked as to whether they were helping with development, Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that more than 100 staff members now have a hand in Breath of the Wild’s ongoing development.

“Yes they are involved in this Zelda,” Miyamoto shared to Game Informer. “People from Tokyo and Kyoto are working together on this. There is a team of over 100 helping work on this project, and their work has really been helpful.”

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release exclusively for Nintendo NX and Wii U in 2017.
