Update: NeoGAF user JumPeRJumPzZ Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has spotted on the PlayStation Store, seemingly outing the name of Infinity Ward’s shooter.

Original Story: We could learn about the next Call of Duty as early as next week, according to a retailer’s leaked marketing documents.

The document, shared by Jim Sterling, shows that in-store advertising will soon switch to see Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch replaced by and Gearbox Software’s Battleborn on Tuesday 3rd May 2016.

That same date will also see the prominent header for Nintendo’s own Star Fox Zero replaced by those that reveal – or ‘reaveal’ if we’re pointing out spelling errors – Infinity Ward’s next Call of Duty game.

That timeline closely follows that seen for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, which was revealed by Activision on 26th April 2015. The larger question remains as to whether it will mark a return for the series on Nintendo NX, which many are anticipating will start to be discussed after Nintendo’s fiscal earnings release this week.

Wii U had welcomes Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts, but support fell by the wayside beyond that as Activision looked to take their popular shooter to, at the time, next-gen consoles.
