GameStop will join in the Pokémon Day celebrations on Saturday 27th February, rewarding customers that purchase any Pokémon product with a double-sided poster.
This has the Mythical Pokémon that are being given away every month on one side, with the other featuring the artwork penned to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary.
The retailer will also be hosting Pokkén Tournament Early Access Competitions at select GameStop locations across the United States that day. Registration will open at 10am local time, with a total of up to 32 participants being allowed to participate in each bracket. Adults (14+) will take place from 11am, while Kids (13 and under) will start later in the afternoon at 2.30pm.
On Pokémon Day, Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow versions will see release on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console service, marking 20 years since Pokémon Red and Green first launched in Japan.
