Skylanders Academy TV series leads Activision Blizzard Studios content

Activison Blizzard has announced that they have launched a new film and television studio that will be dedicated to creating original content inspired by the company’s intellectual properties.

Named Activision Blizzard Studios, that already sees Call of Duty, Diablo, Hearthstone and Starcraft content on the horizon, with animated TV series Skylanders Academy currently in production.

That will star Justin Long (“Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “Ask Me Anything”) as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (“Phineas and Ferb,” “High School Musical”) as Stealth Elf, Jonathan Banks (“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”) as Eruptor and Norm Macdonald (“Saturday Night Live”) as Glumshanks.

Activision Blizzard are also looking to build “a robust cinematic universe” based on Call of Duty, and envisions feature films and television adaptations as possibilities.
