Animal Crossing amiibo cards have suffered from stock shortages in Japan, but they have seen strong sales given that Nintendo has apologised and chosen to delay Series 2 as production is ramped up.
Media Create reports that more than 312,000 packs of Animal Crossing amiibo cards were sold in the four days that their sales were tracked in Japan last week.
We already know that Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer sales got off to a strong start, with 522,556 copies sold in the same period – reported as having a sell-through ratio of 76.29 percent.
That couldn’t quite eclipse Animal Crossing: New Leaf, however. That had sold 603,064 copies in the first week, and accomplished a 96.09 percent sell-through ratio.
