Itagaki blames negative Devil’s Third previews on poor player skill

Tomonobu Itagaki is angry. After early previews – such as our own – have indicated that Devil’s Third isn’t firing on all cylinders, the Dead or Alive creator has moved to defend his Wii U exclusive.

At first we heard that critics should be setting the Wii U GamePad to one side to instead use the Wii U Pro Controller, but Itagaki has since shared his belief that we’re simply playing his latest creation incorrectly.

“Guys, At last, I was be able to understand about the [preview] reactions. Devil’s Third is the game which reflects the player’s skill directly/vividly,” Itagaki wrote on Facebook. “This is truth.”

Keen to demonstrate such truth, Itagaki has asked director Katsunori Ehara to record “GENUINE playing footage” to prove his point.

“There are very poor playing footages,” he continued in a later comment. “What the hell… I wanna show u guys GENUINE playing footage by my director, Ehara. Plz wait.”

Devil’s Third releases exclusively for Wii U in Japan on August 4th, Europe on August 28th and Australia on August 29th.
