Buoyed by the New Nintendo 3DS XL’s launch, Nintendo of America have shared that hardware sales of their trusty handheld have risen by nearly 80 percent in 2015’s first three months in comparison to the same period last year.

That success was spurred by key first-party titles, with The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D selling more than 184,000 copies throughout March, whereas Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS itself added more than 110,000 copies.

That saw their lifetime sales numbers within the US reach 730,000 copies and 2.4 million units respectively, with Nintendo looking to Xenoblade Chronicles 3D as their next blockbuster to promote.
