An improved 3D viewing angle, new Control Stick, and built-in NFC technology await you with the New Nintendo 3DS, although there’s one change that you’ll certainly need to prepare for if you’re upgrading.

While the original 2DS, 3DS and 3DS XL systems used standard SD Cards, the revised hardware instead supports microSD Cards. A 4GB microSD Card is provided with each handheld, but most with larger digital gaming libraries will need to up their storage capacity.

Nintendo have officially stated that a 32GB microSD Card is the largest that the New Nintendo 3DS supports, although users have reported being able to use 128GB microSD Cards although evidently at their own risk. As for those that are recommended, Nintendo have subjected the list below to functionality tests so these will be a good starting point.
