Update: Ubisoft Benelux’s PR and events manager Tessa Vilyn has confirmed that Watch_Dogs will release for Wii U on November 20th.
Original Story: Watch_Dogs will at long last see release on Wii U this November, according to Ubisoft Mexico.
Their confirmation came in a since pulled Facebook post, in which they shared that the Wii U version would arrive in the region on Tuesday 18th November. It had been delayed earlier this year so that Ubisoft’s development teams could concentrate on wrapping up work on other platforms.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently indicated that Watch_Dogs would be the last mature game that they bring to Wii U, even though it was nearly cancelled altogether.
That decision came in response to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag which “sold in very small numbers” last year, leading them to shift their resources to only develop experiences that they feel are more suited to the console’s audience.
