Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker delayed for “best launch timing” in Europe

Nintendo have offered comment on Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker’s slip into January 2015, spotted within their first quarter earnings release last week.

“To make the best launch timing possible in Europe, it is now confirmed that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is delayed in Europe until January 2015,” a Nintendo spokesperson shared, although doesn’t really lend much insight behind the decision.

Whether that will similarly affect the Wii U exclusive’s arrival in Japan and North America remains unclear, where both releases are still being pegged as ‘winter 2014’ and ‘Holiday 2014’ respectively.

  1. Yet more complete bull from Nintendo. They should be flooding the market with as many varied titles as possible rather than delaying them. I’m actually not that interested in the Smash Bros games and so it looks like Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2 are going to have to last me till next year now.
