Classic FM are currently working their way through this year’s Hall of Fame, charting what has been voted the best classical music.

After much campaigning, music composed for the video game industry was at long last recognised in 2012, with Jeremy Soule’s ‘Dragonborn’ from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Nobuo Uematsu’s ‘Aerith’s Theme’ from Final Fantasy VII making their chart debuts.

That success continues this year with Yoko Shimomura’s ‘Kingdom Hearts’ soundtrack having today entered the chart, ranked at Number 177, widely adored by the ‘Dear Beloved’ signature melody.

It joins Austin Wintory’s soundtrack for ‘Journey’, which became the first new video game entry of the year at 289.
