SEGA have released a near-10 minute behind the scenes developer diary for Sonic Boom, which was recently announced as a Wii U and 3DS exclusive.

Whilst this largely ripples off much of what we’ve already heard before, the video sees contributions from Sonic chief content officer Hiroyuki Miyazaki, Sonic Team general manager Takashi Iizuka, Big Red Button CEO and creative director Bob Rafei, TV executive producer and showrunner Evan Baily, and SEGA game producer Stephen Frost.

Discussion revolves around their early experiences with the Sonic franchise, the choices behind the new character designs, balancing, gameplay concepts, and talk of the new CGI series.

Sonic Boom will release exclusively for Wii U and 3DS.
