Whilst we’ve been steering clear of leaks from those who have seen their Pokémon X and Pokémon Y copies arrive early in the days ahead of launch, that hasn’t stopped The Pokémon Company themselves revealing more news.
Within the latest issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro, three new Mega Evolutions have been announced – Mega Gengar, Mega Aggron, and Mega Tyranitar.
Mega Tyranitar appears to remain a Rock and Dark-type once it has mega evolved, whilst keeping its Sand Stream ability which summons a sandstorm whenever it enters battle. Mega Aggron seems to be a pure Steel-type now, with the Filter ability that reduced super effective damage by a quarter, whilst Mega Gengar secures the Shadow Tag ability which prevents foes from switching out or fleeing.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will launch worldwide on October 12th.
