New “unprecedented” Pokémon game being developed

On Monday 28th October, The Pokémon Company’s CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara will be interviewed on Japanese broadcaster NHK’s “The Professional.”

Within the synopsis for the programme Ishihara explains that he has been working on an “unprecedented” game in the Pokémon series, that will apparently change Pikachu in a way that makes him worry for how it may change the character’s popularity.

Fan speculation points toward the potential for a Mega Pikachu, although the Mega Evolutions so far revealed for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y only available to those that are fully evolved.

Recent months have seen a mysterious image surface at the Pokémon Game Show, which was later dismissed as a “concept” for the future of the series.

Whether it is for Wii U, 3DS, or something entirely different remains to be seen, but our interest is certainly piqued.
