On the verge of launching Just Dance 2014, Ubisoft have shared that the enormously successful series has sold over five million units within the United Kingdom.
The majority of such sales were achieved on Wii, and whilst interest around Nintendo’s last console has diminished the publisher is still hoping to see success on other platforms.
“Just Dance is still the No.1 dance franchise in the UK and has continued to exceed expectations. It has been incredibly successful since it first launched and is a definite crowd-pleaser, particularly popular around Christmas,” senior brand manager Ombeline Wallon commented to MCV.
“It has been a difficult couple of years, especially for the Wii market, which is where Just Dance has been the most successful so far. But we’ve also seen increasing interest from consumers on other formats. We are looking forward to seeing them embrace Just Dance 2014 on the next generation of consoles.”
