Saturday saw fans able to place their pre-orders for the Limited Edition Pokémon X and Pokémon Y 3DS XL, leading to the bundles selling out in a matter of hours.
Amazon Japan took to social media site Twitter to explain their situation, with the online retail explaining they had a stock allowance of 100,000 units – within an hour, the golden model had sold out with the accompanying blue model selling out later that day.
Nintendo have yet to confirm any plans to release either model within the west, although after seeing such situation surely won’t be able to resist such decision.
