Nintendo place Wii U indie line-up under spotlight in sizzle reel

Nestled within this week’s Nintendo Direct was a rather enticing glimpse at what independent developers are creating for Wii U.

It presented a commendable roster of support for the indie scene, releases in the pipeline including Nnooo’s Cubemen 2, Festival of Magic from Snowcastle Games, BetaDwarf’s Forced, Black Forest Games Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Ludosity’s Ittle Dew, March of War from ISOTX, Henchmen Studio’s Monkey Pirates, Q.U.B.E. Director’s Cut from Toxic Games, Xiotex Studios’ So Hungry and Nyamyam’s Tengami, among others.

Nintendo’s new stance towards indie developers has received plenty of positive praise throughout the year, global president Satoru Iwata commenting that the company had “received great feedback” having been in contact “with more than a thousand parties.”
