Angry Birds Star Wars flings onto consoles

In any case, Angry Birds Star Wars is heading to consoles, and you’ll soon be able to pick it up on Wii U, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.

Arriving on October 29th, it continues to build upon the enjoyable foundation laid by the Angry Birds Trilogy whilst comprising of characters, challenges and environments that “pay homage to the iconic hallmarks of the Star Wars universe.”

Having previously been made available on mobile devices, the console version promises 20 entirely new levels, a two-player co-operative mode in which you achieve a combined high score, and a four-player competitive mode.

“Downloaded more than 100 million times since its release last year, Angry Birds Star Wars melds together two of the biggest names in pop-culture entertainment for an out of this galaxy gaming experience,” remarks Rovio Entertainment’s executive vice president of games Jami Laes.

“Angry Birds and Star Wars are franchises with millions of fans around the world, and we’re excited to partner with Activision to bring the marriage of these beloved properties to gamers everywhere this holiday season.”

Angry Birds Star Wars will release across Wii U, Wii and Nintendo 3DS on October 29th.
