Ubisoft are to reportedly reduce resources invested in developing for Wii U, reasoned by the console’s failure to ignite enthusiasm among consumers.

“Ubisoft at investor meeting said it has reduced plans for Wii U following soft launch and expects price cuts given sales and weaker yen,” Macquarie Research Japan’s senior research analyst David Gibson shared.

Ubisoft have so far been a firm support of Nintendo’s latest console, delivering seven titles for launch with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Just Dance 2014, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell Blacklist, and Watch_Dogs still on the way.
