Next week’s scheduled Nintendo Direct presentation will see the company share a worldwide reveal trailer for the next installment within the Super Smash Bros. series.
Such news was confirmed today by creator Masahiro Sakurai through social media site Twitter, who also confirmed that he will be attending this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in person.
“I have an announcement, Sakurai began (translated courtesy of NeoGAF). “During the Nintendo Direct to be broadcast from 11pm on the night of June 11th, the first trailer of the new entry in the ‘Super Smash Bros.’ series will be broadcast.
“For the first time, simultaneously across the world! Do not miss it.”
Nintendo announced their intention to deliver Super Smash Bros. titles for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS back at E3 2011, with no concrete details having emerged since then other than Namco Bandai being involved in development.
Next week’s hour-long Nintendo Direct will air on Tuesday 11th June at 3pm BST / 4pm CET.
