Whilst having since been thrown into a galactic trash compactor, Star Wars: Battlefront 3 had once been in development for Wii.

Such news has emerged from within an “Ask Me Anything” thread on Reddit, held by a quality assurance tester on Free Radical Design’s project – their identity validated by the site.

“It’s a small thing, but the controls on the Wii were fantastic,” they revealed. “Blasting someone with your Wiimote was up there in the list of cool.

“It obviously wasn’t HD, and the graphics weren’t there compared to the rest, but it was the gameplay on the Wii that really made it.”

News regarding the game’s existence first leaked back in 2006, when Free Radical Design had been rumoured to be behind its development.

Turmulous situations followed with the developer losing the rights to create the game, which some years later emerged was due to LucasArts not committing to extensively market the game.
