Slightly Mad Studios have commented that the Wii U GamePad “screams new innovations,” once again signalling a change in how we play games.
Creative director Andy Tudor likened it to Mario Kart Wii, with which Nintendo introduced the Wii Wheel, with the Wii U GamePad opening up an avenue of displaying detailed information like never before in their Project CARS.
“The GamePad just screams new innovations for gameplay and is a perfect match when thinking about using the gyroscope as a handheld wheel like in Mario Kart Wii and showing data on the screen such as a map, telemetry, speedo, or rear view mirror,” Tudor explained to NowGamer.
“When you couple that with Miiverse functionality and community it’s a no-brainer.”
