Critically acclaimed 2012 release LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is Wii U bound, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have confirmed.

Players will step into the boots of the Caped Crusader, able to explore an expansive, LEGO version of Gotham City. Batman must once again thwart plans set in motion by The Joker, teaming up with super heroes such as Superman and Robin as you go up against an entire team of super villains.

Making use of the Wii U GamePad, players will have access to an enhanced interactive map and the ability to quickly select between characters at their disposal. You’ll also be able to enjoy off-TV mode, or have a second player join you on the TV so that you can fight crime together without having to share a single screen.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will release for Wii U in spring 2013.
