During today’s Japanese Nintendo 3DS Direct, global president Satoru Iwata has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages will release on Nintendo 3DS.

Each Game Boy Colour classic will be available through the Virtual Console service in Japan next week, priced at 600 yen (£4.20). Although, an introductory offer to promote the games will see them bundled as a pair for 1000 yen (£7).

They’ll eventually reach the western Nintendo 3DS install base, yet series producer Eiji Aonuma asked for patience from eager fans.

“It’ll be a little while longer till they’re out in other territories,” Aonuma confirmed through the Wii U’s social network, Miiverse. “We’d like to ask for your patience until they’re ready for release. Thank you!”
