Within a Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, details regarding the western distribution of the New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC has been confirmed.

Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata appeared in a similar guise to that of the Dr. Kawashima games, as you can see above!

As announced for Japan there will be three individual Coin Rush Packs available from October 2nd.

The first, Gold Rush Pack, is the easiest, designed to make collecting coins as fun as possible with a total of 30,000 Coins available to gather.

Coin Challenge Pack A is similar, with a medium difficulty, and provides multiple routes for you to seek as many Coins as you can. Your scores will then be shared through the official New Super Mario Bros. 2 website, where you can aim to beat the world’s best.

Lastly, there is the Nerve-Wrack Pack which will grant the toughest challenge, and even one small mistake could prove costly.

Whilst Coin Rush mode courses are normally picked at random, each of these packs have a fixed course selection.

They must also be purchased in-game, with players needing to ensure that SpotPass is activated for the title so that they can receive a notification.

Pricing is confirmed as follows:
* Three-Pack Set – £6.00 / €7.50
* Gold Rush Pack – £2.00 / €2.50
* Coin Challenge Pack A – £2.00 / €2.50
* Nerve-Wrack Pack – £2.00 / €2.50

Nintendo plans to release a second set of packs at the end of October, with a third set in late November.
